Secretary
of State Jan Brewer To Release Voting Action Plan
PHOENIX
– Arizona Secretary of State Jan Brewer will release the
Brewer Voting Action Plan on Monday, December 20 at a press conference
conducted at the Capitol. The Brewer Voting Action Plan represents
a one-year statewide evaluation and review of Arizona's election processes
and voting technology. This in-depth election plan is a proactive effort
from the Secretary of State to specifically address and recommend improvements
to voting hardware and software, statewide election procedures, and overall
education and training in Arizona elections. The entire Action Plan – including detailed
findings and recommendations – will be released in draft form and made
available for public comment through January 20, 2005.
The press conference will be held at 9 a.m. in the Executive
Tower, 1700 W. Washington St., 2nd floor (behind the elevators), Phoenix.
The media is invited to attend with copies of the Brewer Voting Action Plan available for review.
