About Charitable Organizations (A.R.S. Title 44, Chapter 19, Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes)
A contracted fundraiser shall register with the secretary of state before engaging in a solicitation on behalf of a charitable organization, even if the charitable organization is exempt pursuant to A.R.S. § 44-6553 from the registration requirements prescribed in A.R.S. § 44-6552.
About Contracted Fundraisers
"Contracted fund raiser" means a person who for profit either solicits directly or employs, procures or engages another person to solicit for a charitable organization. A contracted fund raiser does not include a lawyer, investment counselor or banker who advises a person to make a charitable contribution, a bona fide salaried officer, employee or volunteer of a charitable organization or a person the contracted fund raiser employs, procures or engages to solicit." A.R.S. § 44-6551(2)
