The
Problem: We anticipate the
turnout for this fall's General Election to be as high
as 80%. Given there are 2.7 million registered voters
in Arizona that means over 2 million people will cast
a ballot, most of them at a polling location. Arizona
needs over 14,000 poll workers to properly staff the
polling locations.
THE
SOLUTION: The Secretary of
State's office is challenging corporations to encourage
and accommodate their employees in becoming volunteers.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Accommodate your employees taking
the day off to become a poll worker by letting them
work the polls without taking a vacation day
Encourage your employees to become
a poll worker by promoting it on your website, in
team meetings, and inserts in payroll checks
Becoming a financial sponsor for the
SoS Poll Worker Campaign.
