* The primary election date was changed from the eighth to the ninth Tuesday prior to the general election by Laws 2007, Chapter 168 (amending A.R.S. § 16-201). Although the consolidated election dates in A.R.S. § 16-204 were not changed to conform to A.R.S. § 16-201, it is the position of the Secretary of State that A.R.S. § 16-201 supercedes the current language in A.R.S. § 16-204.
