Volunteers Needed for the Arizona Museum Store
PHOENIX – Looking for a great way to get involved
in the state's Capitol Museum, starting with the Centennial? The
Arizona Capitol Museum store at the Arizona Capitol Museum is actively
seeking high energy personable assistants.
As a valuable member of the museum staff, you’ll provide many services
to our guests and help us prepare for the
state’s Centennial year.
Volunteers help customers select items and gifts from our inventory,
ring up sales, create and maintain merchandise
displays; staff the store when the Manager is not available.
Store Volunteers may occasionally be called upon to assemble gift
baskets and large special orders for VIPs and help
at author signings and other special events both on site and away
from the Capitol Museum.
Volunteers also promote the store, museum and special events to
visitors and customers.
-- A positive and upbeat personality for providing excellent customer
-- Computer literate, or experience with computerized cash registers.
-- Excellent communication skills.
-- Dependable, accountable and trustworthy.
-- Professional appearance.
-- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and some lifting
of light items.
-- Available at least one day per week, at least 4 hours.
Currently the Capitol Museum Store is looking for volunteers to
donate time on Mondays (and other weekdays)
between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. through March of 2012.
