Doubling down on her commitment to work with the business community to improve government technologies and transparency, Secretary of State Michele Reagan is holding the second of her quarterly Technology, Transparency and Commerce Council meetings on Wednesday, July 13 at 11:00 a.m.  Made up of some of the state’s most well-respected business people, the council will provide feedback and support for the Secretary’s policy agenda.

Secretary Reagan formed the high-level advisory council comprised of diverse business leaders to assist her in better understanding the statewide business community as well as provide unique insight and support throughout her term of service.

“I’m delighted and honored to have such an amazing group of industry leaders to help me identify and implement an agenda that will make government more efficient and accountable,” said Secretary Reagan.  “With their expertise and commitment toward improving the state, I’m confident we’ll take great strides to upgrade our technologies, promote greater transparency and make it even easier to start and run a business.”

The agenda for the quarterly meeting will include presentations from Panch Panchanathan, Executive Vice President of ASU Knowledge Enterprise Development, and Arizona Corporation Commissioner Bob Burns related to combining business filings with the Secretary’s office.  Also, Sally Downey with EVIT will lead a discussion about construction trades and workforce development.

With their shared commitment to transparent, accountable, and business friendly government, the Secretary’s Transparency, Technology & Commerce Council will meet quarterly in the Governor’s Conference Room at the Arizona State Capitol.  Meetings will be open to the public.
