Secretary Michele Reagan will tour the Northern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (NACASA) on Thursday, April 9th at 1:30 p.m. to learn more about the facility and help raise awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Month.
NACASA is a safe place for victims of sexual assault age 16 and older to go for help and to explore their options after an assault. Examinations are performed by doctors and nurses who are specially trained to provide medical forensic care immediately following an assault.
Immediately following the tour, the Secretary will hold a brief news conference and provide an update about the Address Confidentiality Program. The program, under the direction of the Secretary of State, helps victims of domestic violence, sexual offenses, and/or stalking from being located by the perpetrator through public records. The program provides a substitute address and confidential mail forwarding services to individuals and families across Arizona.
The media are invited to attend.
